Earth Day Event in Dallas Combines Family Fun, Free Recycling

Georgia Highlands College students host annual event in downtown Dallas.

The 4th Annual Earth Day, hosted by students at Georgia Highlands College, is scheduled 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the school's Paulding Campus at 25 Courthouse Square in Dallas.

The event will include several activities for the family, such as face painting and corn hole, as well as a free recycling drop-off.

There will be a free barbeque lunch from the Hickory Hut, free coffee from Starbuck’s, an United Parcel Service will be showing of its eco-friendly delivery vehicles.

The event is hosted by Green Highlands, a student organizaion that promotes environmental awareness.
