Still Time to Enter, Vote in Our Deck the House Contest

Three homes within the Dallas-Hiram Patch area have showed off their holiday decorations—now it’s time to show off yours.

You have through Monday to enter Patch.com's nationwide by nominating your awesomely decorated home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form found by visiting this link: deckthehouse.patch.com/contest/dallas-hiram

What’s in it for you? How does $500 sound? If you’re one of the 24 nationwide finalists, you’ll get that cash, which may help you pay off your December electric bill.

More importantly, the grand prize winner will see their local school district receive a $100,000 check from Patch, which means that Paulding County Schools will benefit should the winner be from Dallas-Hiram Patch.

If you don’t have a home to enter, or even if you do, you can cast votes for your favorite contest entry by heading to deckthehouse.patch.com/contest/dallas-hiram. The winning local entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge, who will select the 24 finalists.

From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8, you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch, with grand prize winner’s school district receiving $100,000.

As of Christmas Day morning, three local families had entered the contest. The submission from the Atkinson family features lights turning on and off in time to music. The Felix home appears to have way too many lights to count. And Leslie Tucker Sperry’s entry likely will remind you of a holiday TV classic.
