Eddie Steve Parks, 59, Dies

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Eddie Allan officiating.

Eddie Steve Parks, 59 of Hiram, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8. He was born March 8, 1954, in Dallas, and was preceded in death by his parents, E. C. & Gladys Chapman Parks and a brother, Leroy Parks. Mr. Parks had worked as a painter for the Paulding County Board of Education for the past 13 years. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mona Lee Parks; children, Kevin Parks & wife, Nickie of Hiram, GA, Amanda Apple & husband, Thomas of Dallas, GA, Lauren Parks & fiance’, Trey White of Hiram, GA, and Morgan Parks of Hiram, GA; brothers, Jerry Parks of Austell, GA, Wayne Parks & wife, Reita of Dallas, GA, and Chester Parks & wife, Glenda of Dallas, GA; sisters, Betty McNabb of Dallas, GA, Joan DeFoor of Bremen, GA, Judie Russell of Dallas, GA, and Jeanette Prather of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Jacob Parks, Helena Apple and Will Parks; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Eddie Allan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on today from 5 to 8 p.m.
