Funeral Announcements: Dec. 23

Garth "Gene" Diggs: The 75-year-old Hiram resident died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Bellamy Chapel Hiram at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Joseph Anthony Giambone: The 81-year-old Dallas resident died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011. A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at Bellamy Chapel Hiram.

Marsha W. Atcheson: Jan. 1, 1949 - Dec. 21, 2011. Funeral services for the Dallas resident will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. from Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pritchard and the Rev. Leonard Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Dallas City Cemetery.

Glen Thomas Burd: Aug. 15, 1948 - Dec. 22, 2011. Burd was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.

Dorothy "Dot" McClung: Jan. 11, 1918 - Dec. 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Travis Warren and the Rev. Bob Butler officiating. Music will be provided by the Zion Singers and Glenda Cole. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Kevin Carter, Alton Corey Carter, Brandon Rhett Carter and Payton Foster. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Dec. 23, from 3 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 24, from 9 a.m. until departure in procession for the church at 10:30 a.m.
