Funeral Announcements: Dec. 3

Earl "Bug" Porter Jr.: The 84-year-old Powder Springs resident died Dec. 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, with the Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment will be at Powder Springs Cemetery. The damily will receive visitors at the funeral home Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m.

Joe Williams: Dec. 29, 1929 - Nov. 30, 2011. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brantley Callaway officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Terry D'Shaun Allen: Oct. 2, 1968 - Nov. 30, 2011. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens West on Saturday, Dec. 3, located at 3509 Cummings Road, Chattanooga, Tenn. There will not be a procession, but attendees will leave from the funeral home at 9 a.m. for those looking to follow.

Cynthia S. Swafford: Dec. 2, 1948 - Dec. 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Celebration Church of God on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. with Bishop Jeff Morrow and Bishop Keith Graham officiating. Speaking will be Eyvone Turner and Letha Graham. Music will be provided by Aaron Pettett, Bonnie and Ray, Ty Bragg and Bishop Jeff Morrow. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens with a graveside service officiated by Bishop Keith Graham. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. until departure to the church at 10:30.

Veril Ronald Fountain: Nov. 10, 1941 - Dec. 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Tibbitts and the Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating. Music will be provided by Travis Warren; Bob Butler; Matt, Paula and Lisa Fountain. Olga Wring and Joe Turner will lead the congregational singing. Serving as pallbearers will be Lamar Tibbitts, Chris Farmer, Darryl Farmer, Dana Farmer, Robby Williams, Daren Fountain, Terry Fountain and Terrell Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Marty Meeks, Larry Prater, Jerrold Hamm, Johnny Johnson, William Moore, Darwin Young and numerous nephews. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery where the Rev. Herschel Tibbitts will officiate graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. Viewing will continue Sunday from 9 a.m. until depature in procession for the church at 2:30 p.m.
