Sallie M. Shepherd, age 96, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was born April 7, 1917, in Bowdon, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Jabez Ernest Miles & Alice Sowers Miles, and her husband, Woodrow Riley Shepherd, Sr., who was a D-Day Decorated World War II Veteran. Mrs. Shepherd was a resident of Lawrenceville, GA for 27 years. She worked for twenty years as a secretary for the Federal Government and was a member of the 10th Street United Methodist Church. 

Jerry L. Williams, age 61, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He was born in Villa Rica, GA, on June 7, 1952, and was preceded in death by his parents, Mosie Thomas Williams & Nonnie Williams; wife, Darlene Williams; sister, Ruth Adams (James); and brother, Larry Williams. Mr. Williams was a master carpenter.

James Lewis VanderHoff, age 64, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. The son of the late, Robert William VanderHoff & the late, Ardis Evalina VanderHoff, he was born, March 16, 1949, in Arizona. Mr. VanderHoff was a retired U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, after 26 years of service. He had worked for Kindercare as a Worldwide Warehouse Distribution Manager, was an Optician for Affordable Eyewear, a Logistics Engineer for Lucent Technologies, a substitute teacher for the Paulding County School System and worked for FEMA in the southern district. Mr. VanderHoff was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Mrs. Marion Hitchcock Elliott Postell, age 86, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

Mr. Christopher “Chris” Edward Pace, age 41 of Temple passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013.

Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Cochran, age 87, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.
