Stephen Doys Hand, age 58, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born September 8, 1954, in Waycross, GA, the son of the late, Doys Hand and the late, Mildred Davis Hand. He was an outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter and athlete. Mr. Hand played football at N. C. State for four years under Coach Lou Holtz and played in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two years. He was in the commercial roofing business for many years, was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church in Waycross, GA and attended Church on the Word in Douglasville, GA. He had many loyal friends and lived his life and died on his terms.

Nellie M. Holland, age 74, of Austell, GA, passed away, Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was born in Canton, GA, May 4, 1939, to the late, John Wesley Dunn and the late, Minnie Aretta Woods Dunn. Mrs. Holland was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Terry Lebron Cates, age 59, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was born December 18, 1953, in
Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, the late, Robert Leon Cates and the late, Linda Ruth Cates and his son, Terry Lebron Cates, II. Mr. Cates was a truck driver for Sun Lynn Trucking for more than 30 years. Survivors include her husband, William L. “Bill” Holland; sons, Darrell Brendel of Acworth, GA and Johnny Brendel of Dallas, GA; daughters, Rebecca Brendel of Smyrna, GA and Wanda Millwood of Smyrna, GA; step-daughter, Deana Holland of Conyers, GA; sister, Doris Rampley of Waleska, GA; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
