The family will receive visitors from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Bellamy Funeral Homes Powder Springs. A second service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Bellamy Chapel Powder Springs. A graveside service will be held at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Nov. 29 at 12:30 p.m.

Sara Pye: The 75-year-old Powder Springs resident died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Robert Nilbeck officiating. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bellamy Funeral Homes Powder Springs.

Andrew Quin Pray: Nov. 26, 1981 - Nov. 21, 2012. A memorial celebration will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at West Ridge Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Brian Bloye and the Rev. Paul Richardson officiating. Visitation will be held at West Ridge Church on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. until noon.

A memorial celebration also will be held at Cross Church at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, Ark., on Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. with Dr. Ronnie Floyd officiating. Visitation will be held at Cross Church at Pinnacle Hills from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Andrew Pray Memorial Fund, c/o West Ridge Church, Dallas. westridge.com.

Jerry LaVerne Abernathy Jr.: April 3, 1970 - Nov. 23, 2012. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2 p.m. in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta, with Richard Peace officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday before the memorial service from noon to 2 p.m.

Bobby Lamar Daniel: Dec. 11, 1972 - Nov. 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home, with Dr. John D. Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville.

Jordan Russell Davis: Feb. 16, 1995 - Nov. 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at noon at Trinity Chapel Church of God, 4665 Macland Road, Powder Springs. Jordan will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta.

Dorothy Louise Smith: Dec. 25, 1932 - Nov. 17, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, with the Rev. William I. Sauser officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

I am torn on this decision. Even though homosexuality is a sin, it is no greater a sin than lyingRead More or cheating. If the troop had boys who were not Christian & they were committing those sins then that sin was being brought into the church. I think Christians need to remember that no one sin is greater than another. I think the parents of the boy scouts would have to determine if they wanted their child to participate in the troop if their was a homosexual in their group. However, the church hosted the Boy Scouts upon a certain charter. When that charter was changed then the church has the right to decide if they want to continue the association. I know of other churches that ended their hosting of Boy Scouts last year because the group was becoming too politically polarizing & they felt that conflicted with the ministry of the church. It is a fine line with views on both sides but I feel each church has to decide what is best for them...it is after all their facilities.

Don't believe for one minute that there is notRead More one homosexual in your congregation, or for that matter an adulterer, a fornicator, a thief, a liar, the list goes on. And if you are a real stickler, any divorcee that has dated or remarried is committing sin every day. I do not believe in the gay lifestyle but I do believe in what good the boy scouts do. Shame on you for abandoning them when they need you the most
