Claude (C.J.) Sanford, age 71, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was born on July 10, 1942, in Smyrna, GA, to the late Samuel and Isa Sanford, and was preceded in death by son, George O’Kelley; daughter, Pamela O’Kelley; and brother, Samuel Alexander Sanford. Mr. Sanford worked as a building inspector for Cobb County Government for over 10 years. 

Geta B. Canon, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013. She was born January 14, 1926, in Brunson, SC, and was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Albert Owens, mother, Maggie Bell Owens and a daughter, Polly Scoggins. She retired from Colonial Bakery Company as a packer. 

Maria Diaz Perez, age 92, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, on November 4, 1920, and was preceded in death by her father, Jose Maria Diaz, mother, Eugenia Sustache Cortez and husband, Ramon Perez. She worked for the Health & Hospital Corporation in New York City for 23 years, as a senior clerk.
