Jane McMillian: The 73-year-old Dallas resident died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Bellamy Chapel Hiram. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. The family will receive visitors Friday, Sept. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Belllamy Funeral Homes Hiram.

Lee Neal: Funeral services for the 47-year-old Hiram resident will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Hiram Chapel.

Billy Inman Bedgood Sr.: May 2, 1933 - Sept. 7, 2012. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, with visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Hiram, with Dr. Bill Snow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at a charity of your choice or to the Edgewood Building Fund, 2700 Brighton Ave., Anniston, AL 36207.

Oscar Dobbs Jr.: March 11, 1942 - Sept. 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. from Flat Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Dobbs will lie in state from 10 a.m. till service time, with the Rev. Regynal Eppinger officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Martha A. Holcomb: Nov. 19, 1963 - Sept. 7, 2012. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating.

John Edward Isaacs: Nov. 30, 1955 - Sept. 11, 2012. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Sept. 14, from 1 p.m. until the service time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Lorene B. Lawson: March 31, 1936 - Sept. 10, 2012. Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. from Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Hiram, with the eulogy being delivered by Dr. Jeffery Wimbush Sr. and Pastor Jeffrey T. Watkins officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service time. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 16, from noon to 1 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in memory of Lorene B. Lawson to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1925 Century Blvd. NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345.

Frank Milton Clemons: Sept. 16, 1924 – Sept. 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 14, at noon with William Norman and David Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Nancy Ann Teal: April 2, 1969 – Sept. 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Wyatt and Brother Billy Gann officiating. Interment will follow in the Melrose Hill Memorial Park, Highway 61, Villa Rica.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.

I am torn on this decision. Even though homosexuality is a sin, it is no greater a sin than lyingRead More or cheating. If the troop had boys who were not Christian & they were committing those sins then that sin was being brought into the church. I think Christians need to remember that no one sin is greater than another. I think the parents of the boy scouts would have to determine if they wanted their child to participate in the troop if their was a homosexual in their group. However, the church hosted the Boy Scouts upon a certain charter. When that charter was changed then the church has the right to decide if they want to continue the association. I know of other churches that ended their hosting of Boy Scouts last year because the group was becoming too politically polarizing & they felt that conflicted with the ministry of the church. It is a fine line with views on both sides but I feel each church has to decide what is best for them...it is after all their facilities.

Don't believe for one minute that there is notRead More one homosexual in your congregation, or for that matter an adulterer, a fornicator, a thief, a liar, the list goes on. And if you are a real stickler, any divorcee that has dated or remarried is committing sin every day. I do not believe in the gay lifestyle but I do believe in what good the boy scouts do. Shame on you for abandoning them when they need you the most
