H&R Block Owner Peggy W. York, 78, Dies

Peggy W. York, 78 of Dallas, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6. She was born on December 11,1934 in Florence, SC., to the late Liston Murray and Myrtle Williamson. She, along with her husband were the owners of H&R Block in Dallas. Mrs. York was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald York and brother-in-law, Bill Keys. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Denise York of Dallas, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Terry Freeman of Dallas, GA; brother, Gaston and Carolyn Williamson of Fairburn, GA; sister, Annette Keys of Dallas, GA; grandchildren; Heather and Eric Taylor of Dallas, GA, Matt and Natalie Freeman of Dallas, GA, Jeremy and Rosemary York of Dallas, GA and Jared York of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren; Easton Taylor of Dallas, GA and Luke Freeman of Dallas, GA; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 5 until 8 p.m.
