Judith P. Flaherty, 64, Dies
A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, followed by a Reception at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 680 West Memorial Drive, Dallas.
Judith P. Flaherty, 64 of Dallas, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Born in Ft. Myers, Florida and raised in Maitland, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Marjorye Pappas. Before starting a family, Judy attended Rollins College and was a professional ballerina with the Royal School of Dance. A devoted wife and mother, Judy’s greatest joy were her three grandchildren. With great love, selflessness, beauty, class, inner strength, and quick wit she enchanted many lives, especially her family’s. Her love and devotion is deeply ingrained in our hearts.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Mark Flaherty; daughters, Angela Holland-Yancey (Rex) of Ft. Collins, CO and Teresa L. Smith of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, and Alexandria Smith; siblings, Richard Pappas of Lake Mary, FL, Deborah Dart (Jeff) of Winter Springs, FL, and Jim Pappas (Stephanie) of DE; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
