Kenneth 'Wayne' Baggett, 73, Dies

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating.

Kenneth “Wayne” Baggett, 73 of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20. He was born in Dallas, on July 1, 1940, the son of the late, Gus Glenn Baggett & the late, Lola Bell Hitchcock Baggett. Mr. Baggett had worked for Castle Metals in Kennesaw, GA and he was a member of Pumpkinvine Baptist Church. He loved to fish, repair lawnmowers and spending time with his “Grandkids.” 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Burrand Baggett; son & daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne Baggett & wife, Betty of Villa Rica, GA; daughter, Dianne Still of Dallas, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Billy Baggett of Dallas, GA, Earl & Betty Baggett of Dallas, GA and James Baggett of Doraville, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Irma & James Morris of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Tara Still, Justin Baggett, Matt Baggett and Zack Nelson; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The nephews of Mr. Baggett, Butch Burrand, Eddie Burrand, Jeff Burrand, Scott Youngblood, Eric Morris and Brad Morris will serve as pallbearers, and his grandsons will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 22, from 3 until 8 p.m.
