Navy Vet Tim Ross, 73, Dies

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating.

Tim Ross, 73 of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11. He was born on Nov. 3, 1940 in Siluria, AL., to the late Oliver Benjamin and May Belle Ross, also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Faye Ross. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Ross was a Convenience store owner, a avid Crimson tide fan, and he was a member of the Mableton F&AM 171 and a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple and loved his dog Maggie.

Survivors include his children, Warren and Chandra Ross of Dallas, GA, Shelia Ross of Dallas ,GA, brothers Donald and Sybil Ross of Clem, GA., Ralph and Bernice Ross of Jemison, AL, Doug and Judy Ross of Monroe, GA, Eugene and Delane Ross of Alabaster, AL, grandchildren, Amy and Jeremy McWhorter, Dallas, GA, Kelly and Matt Henry, Bremen, GA, Justin and Tara Sims, Wichita Falls, TX, Chase Sims, Dallas, GA, Tiffany Miller, Dallas, GA, Wesley Chaney of Dallas, GA, Jeff Harris of Dallas, GA, great grandchildren Zoe Freeman, Jada McWhorter, Willow Jiles, Aubree Sims, Brodie Sims.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating.

The interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 13; from 5 until 8 p.m.
