$7,500 in Grants to Paulding Schools Announced


The Paulding Education Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of our 2013-14 School Grants. 

HUTCHENS ELEMENTARY  - $2,500
Ripple Effect for Kids Program is a positive behavior intervention system that is used to reduce discipline referrals.  It includes tutorials that can be used with groups for character education, personal safety training and overall academic success.

AUSTIN MIDDLE SCHOOL - $2,500
Rigor is Not a Four-Letter Word and What Great Teachers Do Differently and the SMART Response System will be implemented to increase the rigor in classrooms and use data to continuously monitor  instruction.  
SOUTH PAULDING HIGH SCHOOL - $2,500
Foundations in Personal Finance focusing on Dave Ramsey's personal finance and financial literacy curriculum materials will be implemented as part of the College and Career Ready goals at the high school level.  These materials will also be implemented into student Capstone Projects and economics courses.  If you would like more information about supporting the programs in Paulding schools, please contact the Foundation.  More details about the specific projects in our November Foundation Focus newsletter.
