Quick guide to keeping your reptile safe this summer.

Here are a few tips to help keep your reptile as well as others and yourself safe this summer.

With Spring here and the temp going up many people will have there reptiles out soaking up the summer sun at parks and events. Here are a few tips to help keep your reptile as well as others and yourself safe.

1. Never place reptiles outside in glass tanks. This will bake your reptile the sun rays are more intense when inside glass cages.

2. Always keep fresh water in tank, based on your reptile be sure to mist the cage daily or a few times a week to keep humidity levels up in the tank. This will help animals with shed problems as well.

3. If you plan to take your reptile out in public, be respectful of others not everyone likes reptiles. With snakes NEVER take out while in shed no matter how tame your snake is when with you at home.

4. If you see someone with a reptile out in public be respectful of the reptile and it's owner. If you would like better look, or photos just ask first. In most cases I'm sure they want mind. A Responsible Reptile owner would/should not bring out any reptile that my have a habit of bitting or causing harm to the ower or others.
