18-Year-Old Dies After Blow-Out

The driver was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not involved.

A man died Friday afternoon when the red Suzuki Sidekick he was driving had a rear tire blow-out on I-75 southbound in Dalton, rotated off the roadway and the driver's side struck a tree, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The 18-year-old driver, Jarrett Lee Williams, was from Dallas and died at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not involved.

The GSP was called to the crash on I-75 southbound at mile marker 338. After the blow-out, Williams jerked the steering wheel and lost control.
