During the afternoon of Dec. 18 Villa Rica Police responded to the area of Mirror Lake and Brandy Wine Subdivision due to reports of two people stealing from vehicles, according to the Hiram Police Department Facebook page.

The officers found witnesses that described the two suspects and the vehicle they were driving. A total of seven vehicles were initially found that had been entered with items missing that included a firearm, items purchased for Christmas, and women’s purses and wallets.

The suspects and the vehicle were located at a home in Paulding County. During the investigation many of the stolen items were recovered. Detective Chris Bertera also located several items that are believed to have been stolen but not reported as of that time.

Andrew Sewell, 24 from Dallas, and Meghan Gladney, 23 from Fairburn, were arrested and initially charged with seven counts each of entering auto. They were processed at the Villa Rica Police Department and then taken to the Douglas County Jail.

Douglas County arrest records indicate that Gladney was released on bond and Sewell is being held on no bond.
