Dallas Police Thursday morning announced they were searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for two weeks.
Mariel Shields has been missing since Sept. 20, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Det. Allen Herd with the Dallas Police Department told Dallas-Hiram Patch that Mariel is believed to still be in or around Paulding County and using the name “Coco,” telling people she is 20 years old.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says Mariel may choose to travel to Atlanta.
Mariel is described as 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her ears, nose and tongue are pierced, and she has a birthmark on her lower back.
Those with information on Mariel Shields’ whereabouts are asked to call the Dallas Police Department at 770-443-8100.
