Dallas 15-Year-Old Missing Since Sept. 20

Dallas Police believe Mariel Shields is still around the Paulding area.

Dallas Police Thursday morning announced they were searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for two weeks.

Mariel Shields has been missing since Sept. 20, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Det. Allen Herd with the Dallas Police Department told Dallas-Hiram Patch that Mariel is believed to still be in or around Paulding County and using the name β€œCoco,” telling people she is 20 years old.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says Mariel may choose to travel to Atlanta.

Mariel is described as 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her ears, nose and tongue are pierced, and she has a birthmark on her lower back.

Those with information on Mariel Shields’ whereabouts are asked to call the Dallas Police Department at 770-443-8100.
