Dallas Man Dies After Bartow Crash

Authorities say 24-year-old Nicholas Black passed out behind the wheel in Monday's accident.

A Dallas man died after a four-vehicle wreck Monday in Cartersville.

Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton told that 24-year-old Nicholas Black died after a crash that resulted from Black's passing out behind the wheel at on West Avenue in Cartersville.

The 1993 Chevrolet S-10 that Black was attempting to park at the restaurant struck a vehicle that was pulling out, then crossed West Avenue, striking a third vehicle and fence, about 8 p.m.

The fence fell and damaged a fourth vehicle. Black was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 50-year-old Cartersville man who was a passenger in Black's vehicle complained of injuries but was not transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
