Explosions Reported, None Found

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office reported that several calls were made about explosions Tuesday evening but none were found.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office received several calls from residents reporting that they had heard explosions Tuesday evening but nothing was found, according to Detective Donny Pace.

"Fire and Sheriff's units were sent out but they couldn't find the source," he said. "There were several reports but they were from over a wide area. They seemed to be unrelated."

One possibility Pace offered was a transformer near Old Cartersville Rd. that went out.

A rumor of a Meth lab explosion was unfounded, Pace said. "There was nothing at all located like that."
