Fire Destroys Golf Course Clubhouse
[Updated 12:45 a.m.] The Frog clubhouse of the Georgian in Villa Rica was a total loss, according to fire department personnel.

A Paulding golf course’s clubhouse was destroyed by fire Tuesday night, with a cause of the blaze undetermined as of Wednesday.
The Frog clubhouse of the Georgian in Villa Rica caught fire sometime Tuesday night. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quoted a man who resided in the area who said his wife spotted the fire shortly after 8 p.m., while WSB-TV reported that the fire broke out about 9 p.m.
MaryAnn Phipps, coordinator and public information officer for Paulding County Fire/Rescue and Emergency Management Agency, told Dallas-Hiram Patch about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday that no citizens or fire personnel were injured as a result of the blaze, adding that no one was in the building when the fire started. The structure, which is fairly secluded, was a total loss, and no other nearby structures were damaged.

The fire had been contained by 12:30 a.m., though its cause had not been determined by that time.
The facility back in October was the site of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce’s meet-and-greet with candidates that sought three offices that impact portions of Paulding County—State Senate District 30 and State House Districts 66 and 67.
