Two people have been arrested in Hiram on animal cruelty charges.

Leaving animals in a vehicle is a serious crime. And Hiram Police Chief Vande Todd Zande does not want residents to forget that.

Two people have been arrested in Hiram on animal cruelty charges after animals were left in vehicles, according to a post on the Hiram Police Department's Facebook page.

It does not take long for cars to get hot, according to The Humane Society. On an 85-degree day, the temperature inside a car with the windows opened slightly can reach 102 degrees within 10 minutes.
