Impersonating An Officer: Two Arrests Reported in Less than a Week

Paulding County jail records show arrests were made on March 16 and 21.

Two police impersonators have been processed through the Paulding County jail recently in a span of less than a week, according to jail records.

WSB-TV pointed out the coincidence β€” one man, Matthew Jagger, allegedly impersonated an Atlanta police officer on a dating site; and another, Juan Velazquez, was arrested in a β€œK-9 car” that was equipped with siren, emergency lights and dog.

Pauding County jail records show Juan Ramon Velazquez was arrested on March 16 and charged with two counts of impersonating an officer and seperate counts of illegal use of emergency lights and siren.

Matthew Roger Jagger was arrested on March 21 and charged with impersonating a police officer.

Both men have been released on bond.
