The Paulding County Chamber's Leadership Paulding 23 class was hosted by Paulding County Public Officials on April 18 at multiple locations in the county. Deputy Fire Chief Joey Pelfrey opened the day at the fire department training facility with an overview of the responsibilities of the fire department and the training required for the multiple tasks. The class experienced how the officers are trained to enter a smoke-filled building and the physical strength and endurance required to perform these tasks.

The class then traveled to the SWAT Training Facility where Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge and deputies led the class through a K-9 demonstration as well as rappelling class and exercise. Gulledge talked about the issues facing the county and how his department has trained to meet those challenges.

Jim 'N Nick's sponsored the lunch for participants and the department staff.
