A six-year-old girl from Dallas was among two people to receive serious injuries in the morning crash.
A Dallas child and an Acworth woman were seriously injured in a crash Thursday morning that snarled traffic on Interstate 75 in Cartersville.
According to the accident report, a 1998 Honda Civic driven by a Cartersville woman who was cited with improper lane change, about 7 a.m. swiped the 1996 Ford Ranger in which the injured woman and 6-year-old child were traveling in the right southbound lane at mile marker 289.
The Ranger went airborne and flipped, ejecting the woman and child, who were airlifted to Atlanta hospitals. The woman was taken to Grady Hospital with a right foot injury and the child to Scottish Rite with hip and leg pain.
