No charges are expected against a Dallas man whose truck struck and killed a 25-year-old Canton man as he attempted to cross the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Canton Road early this morning.

Marietta Police say Andre Blickenstaff of Canton was attempting to cross I-75 between North Marietta Parkway and the Canton Road Connector when he was struck by a red 1999 Ford Explorer driven by Charles Severtson, 50, of Dallas. Severtson stopped and called 911. Blickenstaff was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said no charges are expected against Severtson, and investigators are looking into why Blickenstaff was crossing the interstate.
