Officer Remembered in Hiram
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Rodney Kiker.
A Cobb police officer from Paulding County died Tuesday while off-duty.
Rodney Kiker, a member of American Legion Post 111 in Dallas, spent more than 23 years with the Cobb County Police Department, according to his obituary and a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He worked in precinct No. 5, which covers West Cobb. According to the AJC, he died of a sudden illness. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at West Metro Church of Christ in Hiram.
Kiker is survived by his wife Lisa; son Landon (Ranae); daughter Courtney; and a host of other relatives.
