Arrangements Set for Wednesday Crash Victim

Visitation is set for Friday and the funeral Saturday for Jonathan Dale "Jon" Osborne, killed in a Wednesday morning crash.

Funeral arrangements have been set for the Dallas resident killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday.

Jonathan Dale β€œJon” Osborne, 32, was killed after his 1999 GMC Sierra crossed the centerline and into the path of another vehicle on Georgia 61 near Braswell Mountain Road Wednesday morning.

in Hiram is in charge of funeral arrangements. According to Osborne’s obituary, he worked as an electrician for Classic Wiring and leaves behind his parents, his girlfriend and a daughter, among several other relatives.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from , with the Rev. Frank Crowe, the Rev. Durwood Perry and Josh Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Georgia 61 near Braswell Mountain Road claimed the life of a Dallas man and sent a Cartersville man to the hospital.

According to Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright, 32-year-old Jonathan Dale Osborne was killed after his 1999 GMC Sierra crossed the centerline and collided with a 1995 Ford Explorer driven by 36-year-old Christopher J. Harrelson. The crash happened about 6:20 a.m., and no passengers were in either vehicle.

Wright said Harrelson was taken by ground transport to . His condition was not immediately known Wednesday afternoon.
