Paulding Resident Missing off Mexico Coast

Christina Cassin was diving with a group in Cozumel when she disappeared, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports.

A Paulding County woman on a trip to Mexico has been reported missing, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Krystal Schoonover told the newspaper that her mother, 49-year-old Christina Cassin of Acworth, was a passenger on a cruise ship that docked March 28 in Cozumel. Cassin and her husband, Scott Turco, were with a group diving about a kilometer from the coast.

Though Cassin told Turco about 10 minutes into the dive that she was going to return to the surface, she had disappeared after he told the dive master that she would be returning, Schoonover said.
