PCSO 'Cops for Kids' Receive Donations

The Cops for Kids event will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 a.m. at the Wal-Mart on Marietta Highway.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Cops for Kids program recently received several donations from local businesses and charities. In December, Chick-fil-A (Dallas and Hiram) and the American Legion Post 111 “Legion Riders” donated to the Cops for Kids program. The money they donated
came directly from donations, fund raisers, and revenues that they collected
throughout the year.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Cops for Kids program began in 1998 and took 25 kids shopping. Last year, as a result of generous donations from local businesses, citizens, and charities, the Sheriff’s Office was able to take more than 250 children shopping.

Sheriff Gary Gulledge stated, “Without the support of organizations like Chick-fil-A and the American Legion Post 111, the Cops for Kids
program would likely have ended many years ago. I want to thank each and every one of the businesses, citizens, and charities that donate money to the Cops for Kids program each year.”

The Cops for Kids event will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 a.m. at
the Wal-Mart on Marietta Highway (3615 Marietta Highway Dallas, GA 30157).
