Victim in Fatal Shooting at Dallas Hair Salon Was Shooter's Wife

Police identified the victim as Maria Nunez McDaniel, 29.

Police said the woman who was shot and killed in a Dallas hair salon around noon Monday was the shooter's wife.

Robert Steven McDaniel has been charged with murder in the shooting of Maria Nunez McDaniel, 29, his wife. The Hiram woman was a native of the Dominican Republic, the AJC reported.

McDaniel is accused of walking into Julia’s Hair Salon in the Crossroads Shopping Center around noon on Monday, March 24, and gunning down Nunez, who died at the scene.

WSB-TV reported McDaniel fired off several rounds.

After the shooting, McDaniel walked out into the parking lot, where he was apprehended by Cobb and Paulding county deputies who were having lunch nearby.

McDaniel, 45, was being held without bond in the Paulding County jail.
