Woman Killed in Dallas Fire Identified

The victim in Monday's fire was 42-year-old Catherine Hunt, according to the AJC.

Hunt's body was found in the basement of 413 Ivy Crest Drive, the first home destroyed by a fire that kept Paulding County firefighters on the scene for several hours. The fire began in the home's kitchen, according to the AJC report.

The fire spread to an adjacent house at 417 Ivy Crest Drive. Though part of its structure remained upright after firefighters extinguished the flames, it was deemed a total loss by Paulding County Fire Department Deputy Chief Joey Pelfrey.
