3 Dallas City Council Incumbents are Only Ones to Qualify

The three Dallas City Council members up for election will not be challenged by any new comers as they are the only three people to qualify for the upcoming Nov. 5 general municipal election.

Three familiar faces will be on the Nov. 5 general election ballot for the Dallas City Council; and only three familiar faces. No one but the three current council members qualified to be on the ballot during this week's qualification period. Candidates had until Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. to qualify.

Nancy Arnold, council woman at large, was the first person to submit her intent to run, according to City Clerk Sarah Ruff. Subsequently, Council Members Chris Carter and R. Griffin White have both qualified for their current seats to Posts 1 and 3.
