Chester Appointed Paulding Juvenile Solicitor

Attorney Nick Chester is an attorney in private practice and an elected member of the Paulding County Board of Education.

Nick Chester has been appointed as Juvenile Solicitor for Paulding County beginning on Jan. 1, to prosecute Children in Need of Services (CHINS) cases. This appointment coincides with the implementation of the revised Georgia Juvenile Code, which created a new approach for intervening with children who are currently considered “unruly.”

CHINS who have committed an act that would not be against the law but for the fact that they are children, such as: skipping school, running away from home, and violating curfew. CHINS also includes children who are “habitually disobedient” to their parents and place themselves or others in unsafe circumstances through their behavior.
