County Offices and More Closed Today

While many entities will be closed today in observance of Veterans Day, a furlough day will keep some Paulding County workers home.

Don’t expect to see your mailman or bank teller on the job today.

Veterans Day was Sunday, and because the holiday fell on the weekend, many entities will observe the holiday today, including the federal government, which will be giving many of its employees the day off, according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Today is also a holiday for the state of Georgia, one of the 12 holidays state employees will observe this year.

In addition, the doors of your financial institution aren’t likely to be open today, as today will be treated by most of those companies as a bank holiday.
