Drivers Could See Roadwork on SR 120 This Week

Paulding drivers during business hours may see maintenance crews on one major thoroughfare through the end of the week, weather permitting.

Drivers traveling on State Route 120 in Paulding County could see maintenance workers on the job this week.

Georgia Department of Transportation crews are set to work on sealing the cracks on the surface of the roadway of SR 120. Sealing pavement cracks is a Georgia DOT maintenance practice that helps to prevent water from entering the base and sub-base of the roadway and extends the pavement life by at least three years while improving rideability on that roadway.

Crews are also scheduled to resume work on trimming overgrown vegetation along SR 120 as part of the DOT’s integrated roadside vegetation management maintenance program.
