Early Voting Begins Today

Those wishing to avoid election day lines can visit the county elections office through March 2.

Do you already know whom you want to support in the Republican race for the presidential nomination? If so, today is your first opportunity to avoid the potential lines that could form during the March 6 election day.

Early voting for the presidential preference primary election begins in the in the Watson Government Complex in Dallas today at 8 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. The 8-to-5 schedule will remain in place each weekday until March 2.

Those wishing to cast ballots in will have to wait two more weeks. Early voting for it runs Feb. 27-March 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hiram Community Center on Main Street. The community center also will be the voting site for the mayor’s race on March 6, but Hiram residents wanting to weigh in on the presidential race will have to do so at their assigned county polling place.
