Find a New Pet at Holiday ‘Block Party’

Paulding County Animal Control is holding this Nov. 19 event that will feature pet adoptions and more.

If you’re looking for a new pet to give your loved one(s) for the holidays, an event set for this Saturday could be right up your alley.

is offering $35 adoptions during the Nov. 19 “” which is being held at the from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those already with pets can bring them along to have them take part in an animal costume contest. Attendees also will be able to meet area veterinarians and pet groomers and take part in clinics on rabies and microchipping.

Other happenings at the event, aimed more at the humans in attendance, will include face painting, a bake sale, vendors and raffles. But animals will ultimately benefit from the event’s proceeds, as they’ll go toward spay, neuter and medical services.
