The program combats prescription medication abuse.

Submitted by City of Hiram

The City of Hiram is pleased to announce that our application to the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI) for a prescription drug drop box has been successful.

Thanks to agencies like ours and sponsors like Endo Pharmaceuticals and Zogenix, this program has been a huge success.

Lt Mike O’Neal, who applied for the boxes also commented how, “our public safety professionals are honored to be part of the solution in this prevention effort by offering drug drop boxes.”

Our first step will be to register our box on the NADDI website at www.rxdrugdropbox.org as soon as it is installed and operating. During the first year of operation, the City of Hiram will email the weight of the drugs procured, on a quarterly basis.
