Paulding Church Services to Remember Sept. 11
Sermons and special anthems will help people cope with memories of the tragedy.

NorthStar Church: “We have a full service planned, devoted to 9/11, at 9:30 and 11,” according to campus pastor Brad Parkhurst. “It will be a very special time of memory, and inspiration, too!” (NorthStar meets at , 1186 Colbert Road, Dallas; www.northstarchurch.org/dallas).

: “We will be kicking off a message series we’re calling ‘A Decade Later: Remembering 9/11,’” says lead pastor Frank Bernat. “We’ll remember the events of that day on 9/11 and talk about the best and worst in all of us. On Sunday, Sept. 18, we’ll take a Christian look at Islam. And on Sunday, Sept. 25, we will be talking about living without fear in an age of terror. : Bethel United Methodist Church’s service at 11 a.m. Sunday will include a special anthem written for the occasion, “O God, Our Hearts Were Shattered” by Carolyn Winfrey Gillette, while the sermon, titled “Moving Forward While Not Forgetting the Past,” will address the remembrance of Sept. 11, says the Rev.
