Rep. Graves Votes To Fund Veterans, Guard and Reserve

Rep. Graves supports funding Veterans, Guard and Reserve throughout the federal government's shutdown.

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after voting for, and the House passed, legislation to fund veterans and Guard and Reserve troops:

"Over several votes this week, a total of 57 Democrats have joined House Republicans in passing legislation to fund noncontroversial areas of the government. We have a large, bipartisan majority in the House that is acting responsibly to fund as much of the government as possible until we can resolve our few areas of disagreement. Today, we voted to provide funding for our veterans and our Guard and Reserve troops.

“Sadly, Harry Reid still refuses to pass these important funding bills, and he refuses to open negotiations. Senate Democrats must let go of their all-or-nothing position and work with House Republicans to pass a fair government funding bill.”
