Warehouse, Janitorial Workers Sought in Cobb

Labor officials will assist in recruiting workers in Marietta Tuesday morning.

The Georgia Department of Labor will help Preferred Personnel Solutions fill a number of job openings for warehouse and janitorial workers in Cobb County. Β Β 

According to e GDOL news release, the recruitment will be held Tuesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have at least six months of warehousing or janitorial experience. Workers must be able to handle packing and production in a fast-paced environment. And they must be able to stand for eight hours and be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of weight.

The jobs will last for one year. Work schedules are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 2:30-11 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The salary is $7.50 an hour. The employer will conduct a background check on selected applicants.
