Tornado Warning In Effect
It's time to prepare to head to the basement and get away from windows.
A tornado has been confirmed in eastern Alabama in a storm that has the metro Atlanta area in its sights, 11Alive news is reporting.
The storm is expected to move from Polk and Haralson counties into Paulding, 11Alive says.
Paulding is under a tornado watch until 1 a.m., the National Weather Service says.

Hail, strong winds and heavy rain also are part of the storm front moving through the area.
Everyone is advised to take shelter from the tornado threat, using the DUCK system: downstairs; under something; center of the building; keep away from windows.
