Video: Austin, Crowe Vie for Chairmanship

The July 31 primary will determine Paulding County's next commission chairman—incumbent David Austin or challenger Tony Crowe.

Paulding County’s top race is set to be decided early in this year’s election cycle. When the votes from the July 31 primary election are tabulated, local voters will know if David Austin will serve a second term as chairman, or if Tony Crowe will take office in 2013.

The two men are opponents in the Republican primary, and the victor will win office as no Democrats nor independents entered the race.

Dallas-Hiram Patch interviewed both candidates on Friday, and their responses to questions about their platform are shown in their entirety; edits were made only to bridge the gaps between responses.
