Western Connector Focus of Set Meeting Tonight

A town hall meeting is scheduled to be held at the Wayne Kirby Community Center at Burnt Hickory Park in Dallas, with the proposed Western Commercial Connector set to be the focus.

A proposed toll road for Paulding aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in downtown Atlanta is the focus of a meeting scheduled tonight at 6 in Dallas.

Blake Swafford—director of the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport, president of the Georgia Airports Association and executive director of the Paulding County Industrial Building Authority—.

Swafford this summer said that would be impacted by such a road ranged from a desire to further review such a plan to wanting to consider different proposals that would move the road’s path.

A blog focused on the Western Commercial Connector project states that a town hall meeting will be held at the Wayne Kirby Community Center at Burnt Hickory Park today at 6 p.m., with Paulding County commissioners slated to give an update on the project’s status and to let residents speak on the proposed toll road. The Paulding County government site as of early Thursday, however, announced only a “community meeting” to be held at the park’s community center at 6 p.m.

The community center is located at 8650 Cartersville Highway, Dallas.
