Relay for Life of Paulding County will be held Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, at White Oak Park in Dallas. As of Wednesday, 74 teams from all across Paulding—from schools, governments, businesses, churches, community organizations, families and groups of friends—had signed up to take the fight to cancer.

Even if you are not yet among the nearly 1,000 participants who are set to take part in this weekend’s activities, you are welcome to attend. Many teams will be fundraising throughout the evening by selling food and drinks or various items, while others will be holding silent auctions and raffles or raising funds in a variety of creative ways.

Friday night’s festivities will feature a celebration of cancer survivors. A reception for those survivors and caregivers will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the event’s opening ceremony set for 6:45 p.m. The survivor and caregiver lap will start at 7 p.m.
