Candidate Drops Out of School Board Race

Ron Crist withdrew from the race after a challenge to his candidacy.

Following a challenge made to his credentials for candidacy, Ron Crist dropped out of the race for a Paulding County School Board seat, according to Deidre Holden, supervisor of , who spoke to Dallas-Hiram Patch just after 4 p.m. today.

Crist had challenged District 3’s Kim Cobb; .

Crist’s departure from the race means that Cobb is set to win another term on the board, as no others qualified for the Republican primary, nor did anyone seek the seat as a Democrat or independent.
