CTC Enrollment Decreases

Enrollment at the Paulding campus is down by 75 students.

In its second semester, Chattahoochee Technical College has seen a slight dip in enrollment in Paulding County.

Enrollment for Winter Quarter was 1,376, and 1,301 students enrolled at the campus for Spring Semester. Officials attribute the decline to the switch from quarters to semesters and to changes in the state financial aid programs. Across all of the college's campuses, enrollment reached 12,115 students, which officials say are in line with Fall 2011's numbers.

"Enrollment numbers indicate that our students are successfully navigating the transition from quarters to semesters," said Jennifer Nelson, vice president of External Affairs at CTC. "Students are also responding to the affordable and diverse career education opportunities at Chattahoochee Tech."
