East Paulding Could Earn WSB Sports Zone Visit

The Raiders host Villa Rica on Friday and could also be hosting the sports crew of an Atlanta TV station—if fans show their support on Facebook.

The cameras of WSB-TV could be focused Friday on the players, cheerleaders, band members and fans of East Paulding High School, but only if the Raider faithful rally on Facebook.

East Paulding hosts Villa Rica in Friday’s football matchup, and the game is one of six that could be chosen to be the focus of the Atlanta TV station’s Sports Zone coverage. The ABC affiliate is asking its viewers to help pick out the football matchup that will be visited by the Sports Zone Friday crew.

After heading to WSB-TV’s photo gallery at this link, Facebook users can vote on their favorite schools by liking the photo that represents the game of their choice, which is worth one vote; and by sharing a photo with their Facebook friends, which is worth two votes. The game that receives the most votes on Sports Zone Friday's Facebook Page by noon Friday will be visited by the WSB crew.

The Raiders could have seen the Sports Zone crew earlier this year. East Paulding’s away game against North Paulding was one of the matchups under consideration during opening weekend; Paulding County vs. Hiram also was among the nominees. But Allatoona vs. Woodland (Cartersville) ultimately won the vote.

Again, you can head here to cast your votes for your favorite game.
